Are these not the cutest? They are delicious! A friend, who is from Croatia, has his mom in for his nephew’s wedding this weekend. So far, she’s made 600 of these little fellows for the reception. He was kind enough to bring them in. I’m trying to weedle the recipe out of him. If I get it, I’ll post it.
Suffice to say, they are Yummmm.
She calls them Peaches, but there’s no peach in them. They just look the part.
I wanted to send this to a friend on Twitter, but it’s a tad too long for a DM, so here it is:
Apple Crumb Pie
Pie: Pie Shell, 507 Apples-peeled and cubed, 1/2 cup Sugar, 1 tsp. Cinnamon
Topping: 1/2 cup Sugar, 3/4 cup Flour, 1/3 cup Butter (5 1/3 tbs)
Put apple cubes in pie shell. Mix sugar and cinnamon and pour over apples.
Mix sugar, flour and butter together in mixer. Crumble over apples.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
And that’s it! It’s yummy. I have my mother-in-law to thank for this recipe, rest her soul.
